R-Cities is represented by the Chennai Resilience Centre (CRC), is a unit of Care Earth Trust fostered by the Adrienne Arsht- Rockefeller Foundation Resillence Centre (AARFRC) and the Resilient Cities Network. R-cities have proposed three specific project areas, viz., Chennai Urban Farming, Water as Leverage and Urban Ocean, wherein TNGCC and R-Cities will collaborate.

1. The Chennai Urban Farming Initiative: This program aims to utilize urban farms/gardens to build resilience to climate change and create healthy, self-reliant communities by improving food security and livelihoods, especially among the urban poor in the city.

2.Water As Leverage (WaL): This program is focused on creating an inclusive and innovative pre-project preparation facility, with the aim of developing conceptual designs that are inclusive, integrated and sustainable to leverage water for real urban climate resilience.

3. Urban Ocean: This programme helps cities identify gaps and vulnerabilities in their solid waste management system leading to plastic leakage into the environment, specifically into the water bodies and oceans, and develop holistic solutions to address these gaps.
