The “Emissions-Reduction Assessment System (E-RAS)” was developed by CEEW to track Tamil Nadu’s progress toward achieving its net-zero emissions targets. The system provides a structured framework and digital dashboard to monitor greenhouse gas (GHG) reductions across key sectors, including power, transport, industry, waste, and AFOLU. Drawing on inputs from government departments, E-RAS visualizes annual emission trends, assesses policy effectiveness, and identifies areas requiring additional action. The tool enables evidence-based decision-making for the Chief Minister’s governing council and ensures that departmental measures remain aligned with Tamil Nadu’s economy-wide net-zero transition pathway.
