It plays a central role in shaping the policies and decisions that guide the State’s climate transformation.

Constitution of the Governing Council

Established under G.O. (Ms.) No. 101, Environment, Climate Change & Forests Department, dated 03.11.2021, the Governing Council is chaired by the Honourable Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu.

TNGCC operates under the administrative control of the Environment, Climate Change, and Forests Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
